My City | Memphis

.Memphis, TN .. Home of the Real, lol.

I had to take the time out to acknowledge My City.. Our City... Even though The City is going through a rough time with the flooding, Memphis is shining as well. S/O to the Grizzlies for making it this far in the playoffs. WE BELIEVE ! S/O to Booker T. Washington High School for being the chosen school President Obama will speak at for their Graduation ! S/O to the citizens of Memphis for believing in the city and coming together at a time of dire need.

Let's take these lessons and apply them to our lives.

Let's support one another in everyone's individual endeavors.

Let's beat the odds and change the look of the city.

@DjBay asked a question the other day on Twitter:

" What is the Memphis Music Scene missing?"

I replied "Unity.. thats the only thing Memphis is lacking vs. other major cities." ..

I not only meant in regards of music, but the Memphis Community as a whole.

I see so often the crab barrel effect...

Constantly pulling one another down just so you can be on top.

If that is the case, then The City will never truly reach it's full potential.

So, I ask to my readers that are citizens of this great city,

let's try to help each other, support each other, provide constructive criticism to each other and let's all acquire wealth and take our City back.

Let us not only come together when something tragic happens, let us do it on a daily basis.

There are so many things that I'd like to do, especially for our youth .

There aren't things to do for the kids now vs when I was growing up.

Memphis had water parks, amusement parks, summer programs, everything.

Now, there is nothing.

Lets work to bring our city back up to par.
