First, Try Running This...

Sometime last week, Artist/Producer Terius Nash (aka The Dream) released a free album titled:

Now, with that being said, there is a track in particular that I'd like to expound upon.

Earlier today, as I browsed Necole Bitchie, she posted the track
"Used to Be" and me, being the Nosey Naomi I am, I went straight for the comments, as I've already heard and formulated an opinion about the song and it was not surprising to read many of the responses.

A lot of "He's bitter, He cheated while she was pregnant, He this & He that" .

*Pause & rolling my eyes HARD! (lol)

People... well, WOMEN.. you all really cannot be serious.

Where are all these sorts of comments when Beyonce' goes and sings

"You're the Best Thing I Never Had"
"Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"
"Ring the Alarm"
"Yes"
and most infamous

"Irreplaceable"

GTFOH!

Women have to be the most irrational people on Earth. We want to be treated as "equals" and whatnot... Every woman is "independent" and "doesn't need a man" ...

I am a Woman and I cry BULLSHIT!

It is totally unfair that women (black women in particular) put down men for any and everything, constantly chastising and judging and blatantly thinking that anything a man can do, a woman can do 10x better... Not to say we can't, but seriously, isn't that a little too much? Women don't even respect a man's FEELINGS...

Now, everybody and their mother knows that Terius Nash was all in his FEELINGS in that track. He has been putting out music, specifically "in-his-feelings" type of music ever since his debut in 2007, most notably on the track Nikki in which he was referring to his failed marriage with Nivea..

I said that to say this: let men be in their feelings! They have feelings too, even though they don't show them as often as us women. Think about it... The Dream OBVIOUSLY had a lot of pent-up issues that stemmed from his failed marriage with Christina Milian.

"Halfway decent for me, but you dress up for your girlfriends,
Listening to what they say, got your ass without a husband."

At the end of the day though, I really hope women take heed to the song and use it as a blueprint on how to keep a man... Make sure you sweep around that front door of yours and take care of home.. (men too!)
