Louis Vuitton - Marc Jacobs:
The Exhibit
Fun Facts:
- The brand's namesake was born in 1821 in Eastern France
- Louis Vuitton was founded in the 19th Century
- Began as a luggage company that specialized in the 'packing of fashions'
- Geroges Vuitton (Louis' son) actually invented the LV Monogram
- In 1997, Marc Jacobs became the Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton
The exhibit, which is being shown at Paris' Musèe des Arts Dècoratifs, features one floor dedicated to the original Louis Vuitton (signature leather trunks) and the second floor features the work Jacobs has done for the house including Takashi Murakami & Vuitton Ad Campaigns.
And of course, where there is an exhibition, there is surely a party to celebrate its opening!
